Thank you for making the 2015 Annual Users' Conference a huge success. We hosted over 20 events and over 460 attendees. We welcome your feedback and suggestions as the 2016 organizing committee is formed and we begin to plan the 2016 event.
The annual LCLS/SSRL Users' Conference is a unique opportunity to gather together the lightsource community in a single scientific event that includes numerous presentations in plenary, poster and parallel sessions. Participants will be able to learn about current/future facility capabilities and the latest user research results as well as to discuss science with colleagues from academia, research laboratories, and industry worldwide. Activities scheduled over this multi-day event included:
- Focused workshops: Wednesday, Oct. 7th & Friday, Oct. 9th
- Thursday, Oct. 8th Plenary Session Activities
- Directors & Facility Updates
- Plenary Session Speakers:
Patricia Dehmer (DOE): Perspectives on the Office of Science after 20 years in Washington
Axel Brunger (Stanford U): Using LCLS to determine the crystal structure of a complex that is central to synaptic neurotransmitter release
Stefano Bonetti (Stockholm U): Spin currents: the key to nanometer and femtosecond magnetism
Matt Kanan (Stanford U): Chemical and Electrochemical CO2 Recycling
Michael Lubell (CCNY/American Physical Society): Thinking Big and Outside the Box - Lytle, Spicer and Klein Award Presentations
